Accelerated Loss of Mains Change Programme (ALoMCP)
The ALoMCP was initiated to avoid future outages due to too sensitive loss of mains (LoM) settings on generating units in GB. In brief Island detection by vector shift (VS) will not be allowed in future and detection by Rate of Change of Frequency (RoCoF) protection setting will need to be set to less sensitive values.
New settings will need to be applied to the following KACO new energy devices:
