The blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S is a bidirectional battery inverter with an output of 50 kilowatts. KACO new energy is specifically addressing and focusing this inverter to storage system integrators. Their solutions support public utilities, distribution system operators, EPCs and large businesses in grid management in balancing generation and loading of power networks.
battery inverters + 1 battery = efficient energy storage
The battery inverters can be operated in parallel on the DC side. This allows you to connect several inverters to a single high-capacity battery. To this end, the inverter is compatible with different battery types. The advantages are maximum system availability and efficiency of the energy storage system.
Ready for grid management
The blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S can be connected in parallel on the AC side in unlimited numbers. The size of the storage system is therefore scalable according to requirements for decentralised applications up into the megawatt range.
By releasing stored energy during periods of high energy demand, the battery inverter regulates energy peaks. By charging and discharging the batteries, it helps in grid management, either to compensate for reactive power or to provide additional active power.
Open communication standard
The blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S is controlled by a supervisory energy management system (EMS) via Sunspec Modbus TCP. This widely used interface allows you to easily meet individual requirements in the design of the storage application.

Renewable energy at the Heggelbachhof
Herdwangen-Schönach, Germany: From the first wood-fired power plant in Germany to agro-photovoltaics: the operators of the Heggelbachhof on Lake Constance are pioneers when it comes to renewable energies. In the last expansion phase, an energy storage system was added in the summer of 2018. It was one of the earliest projects for our bidirectional battery inverter blueplanet gridsave 50.0 TL3-S.
