Muldenstein, Germany
Plant size: 11.3 MW
Inverter: Powador 39.0 TL3
Commissioning: 2011
Rising from the ruins: in Muldenstein, an industrial wasteland has successfully been transformed into a solar park.
A first look reveals a somewhat bizarre image – scattered ruins (under preservation order) remain standing in the middle of the grounds, including the old power plant from the former paper mill. However, only solar energy has been produced here since October 2011 – using only the sun, and without chimneys and smoke.

Bruchsal, Germany
Plant size: 1.6 MW
Inverter: Powador XP550-HV TL outdoor
Commissioning: 2014
At its location in Bruchsal, Germany, the agriculture manufacturer John Deere operates Germany’s largest PV plant dedicated to the self-use of solar power (July 2014). Self-use quota: over 98%. In this fashion, the company reduces its CO2 footprint and substitutes external energy supply by clean power from the sun.
A striking example of how commercial self-use can be perfectly fitted into a corporate sustainability strategy.

Jericho, Palestine
Plant size: 710 kW
Inverter: Powador 60.0 TL3
Commissioning: 2014
In September 2014 the “Dead Sea Photovoltaic Power Generating Plant” went into operation in Jericho. Located 250 metres below sea-level, Jericho is not only the world’s lowest city, but it also houses Palestine’s largest PV system. This grid-tied solar power station has an output of 710 kW and provides clean, independent electricity to Jerusalem’s Palestinian population.

Commissioning: 2015
The PV system is located on the roof of the ABC Mall in the Achrafieh district. It is an architectural highlight: Part of the system was built around the dome of the mall; a challenge that our partner, Midware Data Systems, coped with neatly. The annual yield of 600 MWh is used directly on site to accomodate for the mall's own energy demand.
Bryanston, South Africa
Plant size: 240 kW
Inverter: Powador 60.0 TL3
Commissioning: 2014
In 2014, BMW has started sales of their first electric vehicles. Best if you use renewable energy for powering your low-emission car. Whereabouts could be better for that than South Africa?
JSN Motors, the local BMW dealer in Bryanston, has been operating a PV rooftop array with 240 kW solar power output since November 2014. The final touch is provided by four solar PV inverters from our own CO2-neutral production, which our partner, Dako power, selected for the installation. Neat!

El Coyote, Mexico
Plant size: 33 kW
Inverter: blueplanet XP10
Commissioning: 2013
The town of El Coyote in Mexico's north east has produced an outstanding example showing just how versatile photovoltaics can be. The owners of the El Fenix dairy farm were on the hunt for something to provide a source of shade in the feeding area for their 800 cows – and it was a PV system that ended up being the perfect solution.
Installed by our partner Intelimeter, 300 thin-film modules now form a roof over the animals during feeding time. What's more, the 33 kW of solar power are being put to good use by the farm itself.
Los Angeles, California, USA
Plant size: 8.0 kW
Inverter: blueplanet 3502xi

Our partner, SK Solar, completed this residential system. Owner is no other than renowned Hollywood actor Thomas Kretschmann. Kretschmann is a big supporter of renewable energies and says that an essential part of the energy revolution is being a strong role model for the next generations. His three kids are growing up with solar as an integral part of their lives and a father who can explain to them why energy alternatives are so important and how they function.
Lo Manthang, Nepal
